Oktoberfest in Lockport!
Guten Tag! On September 30th, October 1st and 2nd, 2011, St. Joseph School and Parish in Lockport will host our 15th Annual Oktoberfest. Many herren und frauen will converge onto Madison Street to eat, play, mingle, listen to great music and attempt to speak German. Whether you are a youngster or young at heart, Oktoberfest has everything you need for a weekend filled with wonderful Fall memories.
The event is packed with a variety of activities for all ages and will feature carnival rides with unlimited ride specials, an abundance of children’s activities, various entertainment and musical acts on the main stage, a heated beer garden, casino gambling and tournaments, a fantastic craft show / local business expo, a variety of delicious foods – including our delectable chicken dinner, an enormous bake sale and many raffles for all to enjoy.
This much anticipated, premier family event transforms St. Joseph’s surrounding grounds into a spectacular festival that is open to the city of Lockport and all surrounding communities. St. Joseph’s Oktoberfest provides entertainment for everyone from grandparents to children and is one of the last fests of its kind in the Southwest Suburbs.
Our goal is to provide the community with excellent entertainment at an affordable price. In addition, admission and parking are free for all those that wish to come and join in the fun.
Opening ceremony will begin at 6pm on Friday, September 30th, 2011. Please join in the fun as we present a touch of Old Bavaria right here in your own backyard. Each year this wonderful community event grows bigger and better, you won’t want to miss out!
