CenterPoint Joliet Intermodal visible from Rockdale, Illinois

The Joliet CenterPoint Intermodal opened for business in August of 2010.

The CenterPoint Joliet lights are visible from Midland Avenue in Rockdale.  This video was taken just before going down the big Rockdale hill near St. Joe's Catholic Church in Rockdale, Illinois:

Kankakee County Board Approves 3700 Acre Solar Farm Near Essex, Illinois

  The Kankakee County Board voted to approve the Heritage Prairie Solar Farm at its November 9, 2022 meeting. The solar farm will be built just south of the Will County Border east of Essex, Illinois.  The solar company has approximately 3700 acres under long-term lease and about 1600 of those acres will have panels and other infrastructure built on them.
