Joliet Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Parade November 26, 2021

The Holiday Season will kick off in Downtown Joliet on Friday, November 26, 2021.


The Christmas Tree lighting at 5:15 p.m. in Van Buren Plaza will be followed by the Holiday Parade at 5:30 p.m..

  The Kankakee County Board voted to approve the Heritage Prairie Solar Farm at its November 9, 2022 meeting. The solar farm will be built just south of the Will County Border east of Essex, Illinois.  The solar company has approximately 3700 acres under long-term lease and about 1600 of those acres will have panels and other infrastructure built on them. Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant issues executive order regarding federal immigration enforcement actions on county property

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant has issued an executive order creating restrictions on the use of county property for immigration enforcement staging areas.
