$122.5 Million to Purchase and Refurbish Lincoln-Way North for State Forensic Lab

The Illinois General Assembly approved the appropriation of $122.5 million dollars from the Build Illinois Bond Fund to the Department of State Police for the purchase and refurbishment of Lincoln-Way North High School into a State Forensic Lab.

The appropriation was included on Page 2,216 of House Bill 0064, which is available in full here.

The section concerning Lincoln-Way North High School states:
House Bill 0064 includes funds for the Illinois State Police to purchase and refurbish Lincoln-Way North High School for the purposes of developing a state forensic lab.
