Will County Fair

Pictures from the 2009 Will County Fair in Peotone, Illinois:

The Will County Fair Midway features traditional fair carnival rides, games, and food.

To many kids visiting the fair, spotting the Ferris Wheel at the Will County Fair signals the start of another school year.

The Will County Fair Large Animal Show also includes the Will County 4-H Livestock Show.  Local 4-H Members raise market animals such as beef cattle and hogs, then show the animals, which are judged on criteria such as how the animal would be graded for meat.

The Will County 4-H Livestock Auction will take place the Saturday of the Will County Fair at 5:30.  Local businesses, politicians, and individuals buy animals raised by Will County 4-H Members.

The Will County Fair features many vendors selling traditional county fair food, such as the taffy shown here.

The Will County Fair Exhibition Hall houses the Fair's Fine Arts, Vegetable, and Crop Departments.  For example, in the fine arts category, exhibitors present items in categories such as: horticulture, photography, and textiles.  There are also categories for baked goods such as breads and cakes.
